Mom Apron Card – Pinterest Inspiration Week

Hello Readers! Here is the third card in our Pinterest-to-reality week! We decided to make the lovely Apron Card! We are halfway done with this week of card making, but if you missed our post on Monday you can read it here. Anya from My Creative Corner made the original inspiration card:

The thing we loved most about this card was the apron, as we have had a love of aprons since childhood(well, half of us have anyway). We really wanted our apron to POP so we added 84 heat set crystals to it and laid it on top a dark background. We used a really great floral card stock for the base of the card and a denim colored card stock for the background. (The card base, envelope, accents and sentiment we’re all designed in our design software. The apron was designed and modified in inkscape to achieve the pattern for the crystals.) The pops of green and orange really tie this card together. We are in love!!

We used a variety of paper in this card, but the bright floral card base, the teal envelope and the green accent piece all came from the Boho Tropical pad we told you about yesterday. It is so nice to be able to recreate these cards in our own style. We hope you enjoyed this card along with our Confetti Card and our Get Well Tissue Card. We have just two more cards to end out this week + on Sunday we are going to show you a great kitty adventure! Make sure to stop by this weekend!
