Good morning, readers!
We have seen so many different keyboard covers and decorated keyboards on the internet lately, so we decided we’d try our hand at it. We thought about painting our keyboard, but we don’t really have the correct paint to do it. We thought about vinyl too, but then we’d have to get the letters and numbers back on the keys somehow. So in our ‘trial’ version, we used washi sheets. Washi sheets are just like washi tape, but bigger. We only did the number keys at this point to see how it would look.
What we love: The number keys looks so happy! Also, we can see the numbers through the sheets, so no relabeling! The washi sheets peel off easily so it’ll be easy to switch it up.
What we don’t love: We just put them on a few days ago and they’re already starting to lift up around the edges. The keys with any raised parts, like the 5, look messy. Our keyboard looks so dirty even though we cleaned it for these photos!
We used We R Memory Keepers Washi Sheets for this project. What do you think? Should we just go get some paint and do it again? Have you brightened up your workspace or computer? We would really like to hear about it in the comments below!
